Remember the famous dialogue of UPKAR when Manoj Kumar tells Asha Parekh, “Mention not!” suggesting he was an educated Kisan. What has happened to the actor now that he cannot forgive an honest ‘dig’...Sorry!

Manoj Kumar has always been accused of imitating Dilip Kumar to the extremes of annoyance. Did anyone at any time approach any forum not to project such movies either in cinemas or on TV or any other channel? He should be happy that he is being remembered till today for his style, even if it was borrowed. Although many actors have been imitating the legendary thespian Yusuf Khan for his very natural acting styles but why is Manoj Kumar reacting the way he is, is really questionable if not ’executable’–the way he wants it to be. More over he never objected to his being called ’Bharat Kumar’–an appellation he earned for himself–does give rise to the question if he only can be a real patriot and none else. Remember Balraj Sahni who on his death bed beseeched those who were at his bdeside to tell the Nation that he saluted it!

Manoj ’Bharat’ Kumar is certainly behaving a bit rash in reacting so fiercely upon a matter that could so easily have been left without raising such a drama.

Seriously, something is wrong with this veteran actor. Why doesn’t he accuse those comedy series where participants mimic the senior actors to the extent of ridiculing them? May be, it’s a matter of perspective, nothing more.

I believe he is taken it as a chance to soar back into publicity. No one was bothered where he was for all these years neither did he contribute to the Indutry’s cause in any manner. I mean there is nothing wrong with SRK doing that scene in Om Shanti Om. If at all he succeeds in getting the judgment passed in his favor then the court muct ban all scenes where the modern day actors ( big or small) emulate the veterans style of acting. See the comedy shows on Indian TV these days...they are full of such instances.
